3.5 miles slightly difficult circular walk
Begin you walk at the Village Stores, turn left towards the Knoll, just before Hopton Cottage cross main road to walled driveway on right to houses, (A very small footpath sign is fixed to wall) walk along footpath BH555 this is a wide hedged path, cross over a stile and walk through an arable field. (The path is usually easily visible through the crop) to reach a field edge path, alongside copse following this to an opening in hedge and then on to track footpath BH556 past houses to reach Bell Lane. Turn left on Bell Lane for a few yards then cross road into Partridge Lane. Footpath BH527 walk to end of lane and turn left at last house follow footpath BH523 a clinker path until reaching a recently installed metal gate, pass trough and follow field edge path to kissing gate walk through along arable field edge footpath BH524 to another gate. Walk through a field for a few yards, passing in front of Victoria Cottage and into a fenced footpath BH525 between houses eventually joining Bell Lane near the Dewdrop Inn. (a shorter alternative route footpath BH526 is sometimes blocked with overgrowth)
Turn left and cross main road, passing in front of Dewdrop Inn until reaching the roadside footpath sign on the right, the footpath BH560 is accessed along house driveway, reaching a kissing gate near last house, follow fenced path crossing a plank bridge and joining a field edge path, ignoring a stile on your left follow footpaths BH561 and BH562. (These field edge paths are sometimes clogged with undergrowth) follow field edge until reaching factory. Cross a stile and turn right alongside concrete building until reaching an unmarked path that turns left near three silos. Follow this rough footpath BH563 through a half finished fenced compound until reaching a dilapidated stile. (a farm gate alongside is usually accessible to walkers but please close after).
Walk along track near arable land until reaching an opening to a field on your left . Walk through a field gate and pass in front of Middle Temple Laugherne Cottages to main Martley Road. Cross over with great care, walk along footpath, until reaching Eastbury Manor drive on your right, Bridleway BH546 meeting Bridleway BH541 until reaching equestrian centre and turn left on to a farm track footpath BH548 follow field edge through a gap then down a incline through crops. Cross a plank bridge and follow a poorly maintained fenced path, (mind the overgrowth and brambles) leading to Lovington Lane. Turn left onto Lovington Lane, passing cottage, house, barn conversion and timber yard, when you reach a downhill sweeping bend in the lane, you will see a path through small trees on your right, Cross stile and walk along for a few yards walk along field edge footpaths BH533 and BH532 bearing right to reach a stile cross and turn left to follow track footpaths BH531 and BH530 past allotments and to your starting point.
